BARRE - A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday, April 4, 2011, at 10 a.m. in St. Monica Catholic Church in Barre for Rexford E. Roberts of Wellington Street. He passed away March 29, 2011, at his home.

The Rev. Emmanuel I. Ajanma, parochial vicar of the church, was the celebrant.

Crucifer Lawrence Reilly was altar server and led the Prayer of the Faithful.

Organist and soloist Rosemary Badeau accompanied vocalists Cece Barber and Ronald Routhier in the hymns "Here I Am Lord," "The Lord is My Shepherd," "Praise to You Lord, Jesus Christ," "Yaweh" and "The Prayer of St. Francis."

Words of remembrance were offered by Arthur Ristau, a family friend. Memories shared by Robert's family were offered by Linda Roberts and Jenny Roberts, both daughters.

The Old Testament reading was read by Laura Roberts, and Susan Roberts read Scriptures from the New Testament, both daughters.

Offertory gifts were presented at the altar by Christopher Roberts, son, and Brian Dutille, friend.

Assisting as Eucharist minister was Cecile Carbonneau.

Pallbearers were Philip Cameron, brother-in-law; Ralph Gasparello, Bruno Torres and Tom Savage, all sons-in-law.

Following the Mass the family gathered at Suzanna's Restaurant for a time of fellowship and luncheon.

Arrangements were in the care of the Pruneau-Polli Funeral Home, 58 Summer St. in Barre.
