BROWNWOOD - Arlie Lewis, 72, died Saturday at a local hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. J.A. McDaniel officiating. Burial will be in Winchell Cemetery in Winchell.

Mr. Lewis was born in Winchell and lived in Brown County most of his life. He was a rancher and was retired from the Brookesmith Independent School District. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church and the Winchell Volunteer Fire Department. He married Ada Elizabeth Rogers in 1944 in Fort Worth.

Survivors include his wife, of Brookesmith; two daughters, Anna Baker of Brownwood and Betty Stephens of Fort Worth; one brother, Leon Lewis of Brownwood; three sisters, Dora Moran and Earlene Ford, both of Brownwood, and Anna Lea Chesser of Sherman; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
