Died Monday, March 31, 1986, in Ocean Springs, Miss. He was 67, a native of French Settlement and residient of Ocean Springs, Miss. He was a retired U.S. Air Force electronic engineer. Visiting at J. Ben O'Keefe Chapel, Ocean Springs, Miss., 6 to 10 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Processional at 10:45 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Ocean Springs, Miss., 11 a.m. Thursday. Burial in Southern Memorial Park, Biloxi, Miss. Survived by wife, Mrs. Anne Matherne, Ocean Springs; mother, Mrs. Manelia Matherne, French Settlement; a daughter, Mrs. Nilda Ranne, Jacksonville, Fla.; three brothers, Nolan A. Matherne, and Clifford P. Matherne, both of French Settlement, and Ray A. Matherne, Geismar; two grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
