MRS. MARGUERITE WESENDORFF PERKINS, 55, a native of Richmond, passed away in a Miami, Florida hospital last Wednesday. Mrs. Perkins, member of one of the city's oldest families, will arrive here by rail Friday night and will lie in state at the home of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Davis, Sr. until time for the funeral.
Mrs. Perkins, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. T. B. Wessendorff, was born in Richmond on November 21, 1901 and lived in Richmond until her marriage to Leslie Orville Perkins in 1932. They made their home in Dallas, later resided in New Orleans and had Miami their home for several years. Mrs. Perkins attended Sweetbriar College for Girls, Rice Institute, and graduated from the University of Texas. She had been seriously ill for the past five or six weeks, it was said. Survivors include her husband, three sisters: Mrs. S. W. Davis, Sr., of Richmond; Mrs. W. B. Murphy of Beverly Hills, California; and Mrs. R. H. Goodwin of Houston, Texas.
