Found in the black (or colored) section of Thurber Cemetery. Jack Green married two Marys. Neither marker gives date of birth or death, just the deceased age. One says "age 39 years" and the other says "age 39 years". On the 1900 Census, Jack was divorced and was a boarder in the home of Mary Holmes, a widow with two children last name of Williams. (Mary Holmes was born in Virginia in 1863, so according to the information on the 1910 Census, she was probably not the 2nd Mrs. Jack Green).

Jack is found still working in the coal mine in Thurber on the 1910 Census with the 2nd wife, Mary (born in 1876 in Texas; her father in Alabama and her mother in Georgia.). He was born about 1860 and she was born in 1876.
