Daughter of Elias Turner and Sarah Davie. Married Austin Harrison Glenn, Dec. 20, 1827 in Surry Co., NC. They soon moved to Monroe Co., Tennessee, where their 11 children were born: Emily Jane Glenn Barr (1830-1904), Elias Turner Glenn (1831-1892), Dr. Thomas Tyre Glenn (1833-1863), Robert Wilson Glenn (b. 1835), Joseph Glenn (1837-1864), Missouri Ann Glenn Ball (1838-1902), Austin Harrison Glenn, Jr. (b. 1840), James H. Glenn (b. 1842), Rhoda Glenn Mitchell (1844-1926), Margaret Elizabeth Glenn Walters (1845-1893), and Mary Glenn (b. 1847).

Rhoda's husband, Austin Harrison Glenn, became a minister of the gospel. The family moved to Hunt County, Texas in 1857. Unfortunately, due to his outspoken antislavery views, Rev. Glenn was hanged by southern vigilantes in Texas during the Civil War, March 17, 1863. The family fled from Texas and went to Illinois. Rhoda lived with her children in Hamilton County, Illinois until her death Nov. 12, 1886 at the age of 80.
