He came to America in 1885, reaching Alma Mo. August 17th of that year. Later he came to Nebraska and settled on a farm near Tecumseh, where he made his home until fourteen years ago. Since then the family home has been near Table Rock.
Mr. Oellrich leaves to mourn his passing his wife, seven daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hollis, of Corder, Mo., Mrs. Freida Harris, of Table Rock, Mrs. Lulu Cordon, Minnie, Mary, and Margaret at home and Mrs. Orena Shadden of Humboldt, and three sons, Henry, Carl, and Edward at home. Two brothers, Claude, of Tecumseh and Christopher, of Elk Creek, two sisters, Mrs. Adelaide Aversman and Mrs. Dorothy Schowe, of Waverly, Mo, and six grandchildren.
Early in life, while still in Germany, he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church. He was a kind and loving husband and father, good neighbor, always willing to lend a helping hand, and will be sadly missed by his relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at Kovanda Chapel, conducted by Rev. E. V. Price, Methodist pastor and interment was at the Table Rock cemetery.
