Pioneer Lady Buried Here Sunday

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the family residence for Mrs. Ada L. Fleming with Rev. Edgar W. Henshaw of Pampa officiating.

Mrs. Fleming, age 86, passed away at her home here Saturday morning following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late John Fleming, former druggist here. She was a member of St. John's Baptist Episcopal Church.

Survivors include one son, Zeptha [sic] Fleming of Clarendon, a grandson W.H. Cooke III of Clarendon and a niece, Mrs. A.J. Stone of El Paso.

Pallbearers were Allan Jeffries, Glenn Churchman, William Lewis Jr., John Bugbee, W.J. Adams and H.M. Breedlove.

Burial was in Citizens Cemetery with the Murphy-Spicer Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
