Lavonne Hall Minton, 92, of 2055 SW 11th Court, Delray Beach, FL, died Thursday, June 17, 2010.

Lavonne was born in Perry, AR, moved to Memphis, TN as a young child, married Ervin Lee (Durb) Minton in 1937, had four children and lived there until 1958 when the family moved to Miami. Durb died in 1988.

Lavonne worked many years at the Miami VA Hospital as executive secretary to the Chief of Staff and later the Director. Retiring to Abbey Delray North, she enjoyed many good friends and books, serving as librarian.

Most of all, she loved her family and is survived by four children: Michael(Elizabeth), Longwood, FL, Thomas, Gainesville, FL, Derbann AlKudmani(Safwan), Saudi Arabia and Clyde, Aventura, FL, five grandchildren: Luke Minton (Sonya)Heathrow, FL, Derek Minton, Longwood, FL, Wendy Rohm (David), Atlanta, GA, Ahmad AlKudmani (Nadya AlFaraidy), Saudi Arabia, and Cheza AlKudmani (Soliman AlFaraidy), Saudi Arabia, eight great-grandchildren: Madison and Austin Minton, Heathrow, FL, Owen and Brody Rohm, Atlanta, GA, Safwan, Jana, and Talene AlKudmani, Saudi Arabia and Gaith AlFaraidy, Saudi Arabia.

She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.

Private internment at Woodland Park South Cemetery in Miami.
