Mrs. Burnett was born in Lockerbie, Scotland, June 18, 1823 and came to this country in 1854 with her husband, settling in Marshall Co., IL. While living there, she united with the United Presbyterian Church and after moving to this county, joined the same church at Piper City.
Jane was a faithful wife and mother and a life-long consistent Christian.
A husband and four children survive to mourn, mainly:

Thomas, (Loda) with whom she made her home
Mrs. Ramshaw, east of Buckley
Mrs R.E. Dugan, Iowa Falls, IA
