When Shags came to our door, she was a thin dirty white Poodle. We took her in and gave her a good home for about four years. That was until someone decided to poison her. We found her dead in our garage. Shags was like no other dog. She would try to mother any baby animal she could find. We use to raise baby chicks and duckling. And at night she would go gather them all up. And put her paws around them and her head over top to keep them warm through night. And in the day time she would heard them around the back yard. And with a baby kitten or puppy she would try to nurse them, even tho she didn't have milk. When we found her, it looked as if she had been spayed, So we thought that maybe she never had a chance to have babies to look after, and that was why she did this.

Here she is seen with her family.
