Mart -- Marland Copeland of Mart, a truck driver, died Saturday at a Waco Hospital. He was 73.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Bosqueville Cemetery, the Rev. W.H. Smith officiating.
Mr. Copeland was born Dec 8, 1919 in Whitney. He was a truck driver for Central Freight Lines for 35 years before retiring in 1982. He married Betty Harris on April 10, 1971, in Mart. Mr. Copeland was a member of First Baptist Church and Herring Avenue Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife; a son Marland Joseph Copeland of Louisville, KY; a stepson, Mike Harris of Lancaster; three brothers, Walter Copeland of Sea Isle City, N.J., Harland Copeland of Port Arthur and Tommy Copeland of Canyon Lake; and three sisters, Malzie Rook of Beaumont and Lillian Hand and Mary Ulrich, both of Austin.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 tonight at Littlepage Funeral Home. the date of birth 1918 on the flat marker is wrong. He and twin brother Harland Copeland were born 8 Dec 1919.
