Mrs. Laura Moore Crossley, 70, of Scurry, died at 3:15 this morning in Ennis Nursing Home, where she had resided the last 3 months.
Sh was born June 5, 1902 in Trinidad, to the late E. C. and Albina Holcomb Boone.
Mrs. Crossley had lived in Athens until 1953 and then moved to Scurry. She was a member of the Trinidad Baptist Church.
Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Scurry.
Burial will be in City Cemetery in Athens, under the directions of Bunch Funeral Home.
She is survived by 2 sons, Leroy Moore and Kenneth R. Moore, both of Route 1, Scurry; 3 daughters, Mrs. Robert Willis, Grand Prairie; Mrs. Billy Dodson, Rt. 2, Ennis; Mrs. Donnie Hatcher, Scurry; her stepmother, Mrs. Gladys Boone, Kerens; 4 brothers Clyde Boone, Waco; Jack Boone, Kaufman; Elvis and Emmitt Boone, Dallas; sisters Mrs. D. F. Roberson, Corsicana; Mrs. Lucille Aaron, Athens; Mrs. Jimmy Grace, Ben Wheeler; 18 grandchildren, and a number of neices and nephews.
