Services for Elvis Lewis Boone, 86, Murchison, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 21, at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel, Athens. Burial was in Restland Memorial Park in Dallas. Mr. Boone died August 20, 1999, in an Athens hospital.
He was born June 16, 1913, in Trinidad to the late Emmett and Albina Holcomb Boone and had been a resident of Murchison 15 years. He was retired from P.A. Ross Machinery Company in Dallas. He served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Arline Boone, Murchison; daughters, Cornilia Annette Lamberson, Liberal, Kansas, and Carolyn Jeannette McCray; brother, Emmett Boone, Styx; sister, Sis Graves, Ben Wheeler; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
