Children: Clifford J. and Mary Alice (Halterman) Young-Sheeley.∼James Halterman, son of Jackson and Jennette Halterman, was born in Polk County, Ia., Jan. 31, 1862 and passed from this life at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines, Iowa, Dec. 18, 1935. In the year of 1894, he was united in marriage to Mary Ann Dillow who preceded him in death. To this union were born two children, Clifford Halterman of Truro, and Alice Young of Des Moines. Besides his two children he is also survived by four sisters, Mary Jane Randleman, Rosendale, Mo.; Matilda Douglas, Colorado; Rachel Ellson, Carlisle and Bertha Spence, Des Moines; two brothers, William Halterman, Osceola, and Frank Halterman, Valley Junction, and three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Orr funeral home on Friday, Dec. 20, 1935, at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. N.D. Gordon of Indianola. Interment was in the Shaver Cemetery.
