Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Hedley Baptist Church for Mrs. Claudia Ann Harris with burial in Rowe Cemetery under the direction of Spicer Funeral Home of Memphis.

Mrs. Harris, 82, died last Thursday in Abernathy, Texas, where she had made her home for the past three years. She had been a long time resident of Hedley prior to moving to Abernathy in 1960. She was a member of the Hedley Baptist Church.

Survivors include one son, J.L. Harris, Wellington; three daughters, Mrs. L.M. Thornton, Fort Worth, Mrs. C.W. Snodgrass, Abernathy, Mrs. W.G. Hamilton, Hale Center; one sister, Mrs. Marshall Stone, Hedley; two brothers, Clyde Seets, Burleson, Edgar Seets, Wellington; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Elmer Howell, W.W. Farris, Tommy Bain, Frank Murray, Alva Simmons and Vernie Wade.

ABERNATHY (Special) - Services for Mrs. A.B. Harris, 82, who died at her home here early Thursday after a lengthy illness, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church, Hedley.

A native of Johnson County, Mrs. Harris moved to Hedley in 1918 and came there three years ago to live with her daughter, Mrs. C.W. Snodgrass.

Other survivors include a son, J.L. Harris, Wellington; two other daughters, Mrs. Ruby Hamilton, Hale Center, and Mrs. Verna Thornton, Fort Worth; a sister, Mrs. Fannie Stone, Hedley; two brothers, Edgar Seets, Wellington, and Clyde Seets, Burleson; 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

Chamber Funeral Home here and Spicer Funeral Home Memphis are in charge of arrangements.
