They moved to Hood County, Texas after the 1870 census where they had several children. They had a daughter born in Missouri in 1884 but returned to Hood county, Texas where they had more children and spent the rest of their lives.
The 1900 census stated that Mattie had birthed 9 children and 8 were living in 1900.
Their children that I have documented are William, Mary Elizabeth wife of Brient E. Carter, John Sidney, Charles Thomas, Lee wife of Bee Anderson, Euna, Della wife of Harris H. Hassler, and Lewis Elmo.
