Anne was the daughter of Finlay Finlayson and Catherine Hunter. Finlay was from Scotland and Catherine from Nova Scotia. Anne Finlayson married Richard Bennett and they had eight children. They were hard working farmers and over the years had several family members living with them as most all of the Bennett's were poor. After their death, their son Harry, and daughter, Junia, lived in the old farmhouse until it caught on fire and burned down. Junia died of injuries from the fire. Harry stayed on the old homestead in a little place on the land until he died. Anne and Richard Bennett are buried in Farmington Cemetery, Washington Co.,Arkansas.
