Brother of Henry, Ella (Elrod), Pirl, Martha (Green), Mary (McCouaughey), Florence (Thomas), Lee, Jesse, William and Myrtle (Gear).

Husband of Adelina Zessin, whom he married Feb. 1, 1890.
Husband second to Lula M. Brown.

Father of Seven children, Clarence, Phoebe (Markley), Myrtle (Stock), Ida (Racobs), Clara (Anderson), Miles and Andrew Brown.

George Brown Dies In Weeping Water

George Brown, retired farmer and carpenter passed away Aug. 16, at 8:40 p.m. in the home of his daughter Mrs. Charles Racobs of Omaha.
He was born May 7, 1864 in Hamburg, Ia., son of George Sr. and Elizabeth Taylor Brown, where he grew to manhood. He was a member of the Lutheran church.
At the age of 26, he was united in marriage to Adelina Zessin on Feb. 1, 1890 at Madison. To this union were born four daughters and 3 sons, Phoebe, Myrtle, Ida, Clara, Miles, and Clarence and Andrew, deceased.
Mr. Brown spend his early years as a farmer. After the death of his wife, Adelina, in the year 1910, he continued his farming and reared his family. His later years were spent in the carpenter trade near Oshkosh.
Mr. Brown leaves to mourn his family, Mrs. William Markley of Longview, Wash., Mrs. Andrew Saba, Ogalalia, Mrs. Walter Anderson, Weeping Water, Miles Brown, Lewellen, Mrs. Charles Racobs, Omaha, fifteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, four sisters, Mrs. Mat Brown, Grand Island, Mrs. Florence Thomas, Omaha, Mrs. Emil Anderson, Emperial Beach, Calif., one brother, Lee, of Sandpoint, Ida., and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Brown will be remembered in places where he has resided for his fine worksmanship as a carpenter and his successful gardening and farming.
The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon in the chapel at the Hobson Funeral home.
Pallbearers included LeRoy Zessin, DeForest Brown, Amis Ingrim, Al Brown, Earl Dennison and Major Robins. Rev. Sherman Mills, assisted by Rev. Fred Gardner, officiated. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Compton sang "God's Tomorrow" and "Abide with Me." The Hobson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery.
