She was the daughter of Thomas G. Forster and Laura Forster. On September 30, 1872 as Altona H. Forster, she married Jeffereson Jennings at Manhattan, New York. They werre the parents of Forster Henry Jenings born October 14, 1875 in Chillicothe, Ohio and Allen Gules Jenings born June 24, 1880 at Oquawka, Illinois.
