Eugenia "Jean" Lorenz, 96, of Kemp, passed away March 16, 2009 in Kemp. She was born Eugenia Jane Watkins on October 8, 1912, daughter of Alma Clay (Baker) & Chaillie Carnegie Watkins. She attended the First United Methodist Church of Kemp. After 32 years of service, she retired from the Internal Revenue Service and moved to Kemp, where she grew up, and has lived there the last 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. C. C. Watkins; husband, Herman Lorenz; brothers, Ben Jack Watkins and George Fite Watkins; and nephew, Turney Watkins.
Survivors include sister, Mary Watson of Richardson; sister-in-law, Bonnie Blue McDaniel of Montgomery, AL; nephews, Floyd Terrell Watson, Jr. & wife, Nancy of Richardson, William Watkins of Cypress, TX and Bobby Watkins of Hartselle, AL; niece, Debbie Watkins of Austin; great-niece, Elizabeth Terrell Watson of Dallas; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Graveside services were at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at the Kemp Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Renfro officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home of Kemp.
