Mrs. Josie Weakley, widow of the late J. W. Weakley, died at her home at Mt Meridian at five-thirty Wednesday morning. She had been ill for some time, and died of a paralytic stroke.

Mrs. Weakley was a life-long member of the Lutheran Church, and was a devout. Christian woman. She was a friendly and respected neighbor, a devoted mother and was beloved by all that she came in contact.

Surviving are: six children, R. E. Weakley, of Weyers Cave; B. R. Weakley and Lily B. Weakley, at home; R. W. Weakley, of Waynesboro; Mrs. Halsie Grove, of Weyers Cave; Mrs. Maggie Landes, of Staunton; three grand-children. Virginia Landes, Junior Landes, and Galen Weakley; three sisters, Mrs. Laura Morris, of Indiana: Mrs. Maggie Sipe, of Grottoes; Mrs. Jennie Hawkins, of Mt. Crawford; and one brother, Robert Morris, of Baltimore.

Funeral services will .be held at Melanchthon Chapel, near Weyers Cave on Saturday, Aug. 1, at eleven a. m., conducted by the Rev. M. J. Klutz, of Waynesboro. The Rev. C. E. Long, of Mt. Meridian, will assist.

Pallbearers: C. L. Weast, K. L. Chapman, O. B. Johnson, C: C. Smith, C. E. Roadcap, and Walter Corbin.
