Mozelle Bogard, 86, of Gainesville, Texas, formerly of McKinney, Texas, passed away January 15, 2013.She was born October 21, 1926, in Farmersville, Texas to A.R. Holbrook and Laura V. (Scott) Holbrook. Mozelle graduated from Farmersville High School.

Mozelle loved working and being active. She worked for Texas Instruments for more than 30 years. After retirement, Mozelle worked for Sams in McKinney as a sales promoter. She joined Stanford House in Gainesville, where she took up painting and became an accomplished artist. She was also an avid gardener.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Bobby Tharp and wife, Mary Ann of Gainesville, Texas, Patsy Sampson of Quinlan, Texas, Linda Powell and husband, Jim of Merit, Texas, Ray Holbrook and wife, Cathy of Forney, Texas, Dennis Holbrook and wife, Rhonda of Quinlan, Texas, and Pamela Thompson and husband, Tommy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, A.R. and Laura Holbrook; husband, Erwin Ray Bogard; brothers, Weldon Holbrook and Herman Holbrook;and sister, Mary Frances Tharp.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 20, 2013, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridgeview Memorial Park, Allen, Texas.

The family will receive friends during a visitation on Saturday evening beginning at 5:00 p.m., at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home, Allen, Texas.
