AMMON M. COOPER DIES; SERVICES SET SUNDAY
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday in Daniel Funeral Chapel
here for Ammon M. Cooper, of 1025 S. Maxey, who died Friday night in a
Sherman nursing home.
Dr. Tom Brandon, pastor of the First Baptist Church, will conduct the
services. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Robert Evans, Warner
Evans, Dick Ringgold, Charles Yates, Burgess Buchanan and John Reid will be
the pallbearers.
Mr. Cooper was born near Randolph and had lived in Sherman for the last
36 years. On Sept. 15, 1950, he married Coralee Yates in McKinney. He was
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Cooper. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife; two sisters, Mrs. J.B. Cole (nee Birdie Cooper)
of Sherman and Mrs. Grover Dyer (nee Virginia Cooper) of Randolph and
several nieces and nephews. (researcher's note: Ammon M. Cooper was the son
of Joseph D. Cooper and Virginia E.M. "Jane" Boone and the grandson of
Fannin County, Texas pioneers Joseph R. Boone and Virginia E.M. Crenshaw.)
