Elsie, Fourth Child of Six, Second born daughter of Three of Henry and Mary Margaret (Carson) Zessin.

Services for Newman Grove resident, Mrs. Elsie Pittack, 70, were held Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Newman Grove with the Rev. Earl Martell officiating. Burial was in the Hope Cemetery under the direction of Jacobson-Mott Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pittack died April 1 at a Central City nursing home.

She was born February 10, 1903 in rural Madison County to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Zessin and attended Green Garden school. She was married to August Pittack Jan. 30, 1924 and they farmed in the area before moving into Newman Grove in 1944. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Eleanor) Etling of St. Edward, Mrs. Lyle (Lois) Simmons of Aurora; a brother Victor Zessin of Madison; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Maurer of Madison, Mrs. Dora Fillsinger of Newman Grove; and three grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and a grandson in infancy.
