Annie Jackson Denton was born in Perry County, Tennessee near the town of Linden on 22 January 1889 to Nathaniel (Nat) Jackson and Ellen Elizabeth Rodgers. Annie was the seventh child born into this family of eleven children. Annie also had a older half brother from her father's first marriage. Annie married Robert Benjamin (Rob) Denton on 15 November 1912 at Linden, Perry County, Tennessee at the age of 23. Rob and Annie had two children, Elijah Thomas (Tom) Denton, 1914-1989; and Louise Denton, 1917-2006. Annie died on 23 January 1953 at Linden, Perry County, Tennessee at the age of 64 and is buried at Bethel Cemetery near Linden, Perry County, Tennessee.
