Rob married Ophelia Collins on 15 September 1908 at Linden, Perry County, Tennessee and they had one daughter, Jimmie Aulma Denton, 1908-1985. Rob and Ophelia were divorced and Rob married his second wife, Annie Jackson, on 15 November 1912 at Linden, Perry County, Tennessee. Rob and Annie had two children, Elijah Thomas (Tom) Denton, 1914-1989; and Louise Denton, 1917-2006. Robert Benjamin Denton died 3 February 1969 in Perry County, Tennessee at the age of 82 and is buried at Bethel Cemetery near Linden, Perry County, Tennessee.
