Rosenell Thrift, age 80, of Bellingham, passed away March 16, 1999 in St. Francis Extended Health Care.
Mrs. Thrift was born Oct. 20, 1918 in Waterville, to Heroud L. and Ada Della Hoggatt Overturf. She lived on Badger mountain until age six when the family moved up to Squilchuck and in 1927 they moved to the Chelan-Manson area where she attended school, graduating in 1937. A longtime Wenatchee resident, Mrs. Thrift went to Bellingham five years ago. She had been a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and enjoyed dancing, fishing, knitting and crocheting.
She is survived by three sons, Raymond and his wife Connie Beal of California, James L. and his wife Barb Campbell and Terry and his wife Shirley Thrift of Bellingham; two daughters, Jean Crosier of Arizona and Geri and her husband Jerry Darkis of Lynden; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service, officiated by Pastor Kel Groseclose, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 19, 1999 at the Wenatchee Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Washington State Lung Association.
The arrangements are under the direction of the Jerns Funeral Chapel and Crematorium of Bellingham.
