Her death came as shock to her loved ones, friends, and all who knew her. She received her education at District 64 in Wabaunsee County, at the parochial school at Wamego, Kansas and later her parents moved to Flush, Kansas where she finished and on June 6, 1920 she joined the Benedictine Order at Mt. Saint Scholastica at Atchison, of which she has been a faithful member for the past 12 years.
She taught several terms of school, one at Seneca, two at Baileyville, one at Kansas City, one in Olathe, Kansas, and two in Iowa. One at Creston and one at Portsmouth, and at this time she had a severe attack of the flu and that was the beginning of her great trouble. It settled on her lungs, but she was a patient sufferer through it all.
She leaves to mourn her great departure, her parents, three sisters and three brothers. Marie, Lena, and Andrew of the home, and John and Leo of the Flush neighborhood and Mrs. G. A. Richmond of Wamego.
Funeral services were held at Atchison, Saturday morning, March 12, 1932 at 9 o'clock at Mt. Saint Scholastica Convent and she was laid to rest in the Convent Cemetery.
