He served for 20 years in the United States Marine Corps , during World War II and the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Runyon semicolon daughters , Karen Myers of Chula vista, Darlene McMullen of Carlsbad and Sharon James of Killeen , Texas; four sisters, a brother and seven grandchildren .
A memorial service will be at 10 AM Tuesday at Allen Brothers Mortuary-Vista Chapel. Burial, with full military honors, will follow at Fort Rosenkranz National Cemetery in Point Loma.
