Raynette Newlon, 90, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2009. She was born December 20, 1918 in Coal Hill, AR to Joe and Cora Stewart Elkins. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter J. "Jack" Newlon.

Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Forest Park Cemetery with Rev. George Crowden Officiating. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by one daughter Nancy Wells of Fort Smith, one son Bobby Newlon of Claremore, OK, two sisters Kathleen Hawkins of St. Louis, MO and Virginia Hadjen of Collinsville, IL, two brothers Jim Elkins and Jeff Elkins both of Collinsville, IL, four grandchildren, two great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
