Mrs. D. A. Cantwell
Mrs. Cantwell was born March 9, 1852 and was called from this life to the life eternal May 15, 1932. She was the wife of the late D. A. Cantwell whom God saw fit to call from this life to the life beyond July 2.. 1926. 9 children were born to this happy union and 8 survive.
At an early age she accepted Christ as her "personal saviour and surrendered her life wholly and unreservedly to the Master, always letting the Holy Spirit have his way with her.
She feasted her soul upon Gods word so when she departed from this life she was worthy to claim his promises.
She was a consistent and consecrated Christian living a life of preparedness. She always said "the only Christian dieing was the Christian living.''
She so often quoted the following scripture verses - Therefore be ye also ready, for in such an hour as you think not the Son of man cometh. Matt. 24:44.
But rather seek ye the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Luke 12:31.
She was a devoted wife and mother deeply interested in the rearing of her children. Her greatest efforts were to bring up her family in the admonition of the Lord. She was never too tired to serve them.
Her life was a literal benediction to all of whom she came in contact.
Long and lonesome will be the days to follow, "and only time can waft away the sting of it all. The separation is terrible but we feel lifted and inspired when we realize she is not dead but sleepeth.
A loving mother from us is gone,
A voice we loved is stilled,
A place is vacant among us,
Which never can be filled.
We loved her, oh! we loved her,
But God loved her more; And has called her from us,
To yonder shinning shore.
