Fred was the third child born to John and Alice Wilson. Fred lived in McMinn County, Tennessee as a child on the Old Mecca Pike Road. Fred grew up with two sisters and five brothers. Fred married Ida Shadden on 05 Sept 1926 in McMinn County,Tennessee. Fred and Ida were blessed with three children: JA, Ray and Irene. Fred worked for the railroad and also farmed. He lived in Tellico Plains, Monroe, Tennessee after his marriage. He raised tobacco, cattle and hogs. He loved to go up on Starr Mountain. He could tell many stories about the good old days. Fred lived to be 91 years old. He was a very special person.
