Evelyn H. Johnson R.N. peacefully went to be with her Lord on September 29, 2005. She was born on October 29, 1915 in Seguin, Texas. She graduated from P & S School of nursing in 1939 as an R.N. She spent over 40 years taking care of others and was loved for her tender, gentle touch with a little humor added. She loved flowers, visiting with neighbors, her grandchildren and attending her High School reunions in Lockhart, Texas. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and of the XYZ Sunday school class. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Jo Cox & husband Richard; son, William T. Fore, Sr. & wife Susan; sisters, Emma Jo McMillan and Ardice Ellwood; former daughter-in-law, Carolyn Fore-Smith; 5 grandchildren, Dr. Mark Cox, DVM & wife Carol, Tammy Andrews & husband David, Jeffrey R. Cox & wife Janet, William T. Fore, Jr., Tiffany Dawn Buterbaugh & husband Bruce; 7 great-grandchildren, Melissa, Hilary, Matthew, Ryan, Marcus, Kendall, and Kamerin; 6 great-great-grandchildren, Chandler, Trevor, Jeremy, Shelby, Joshua, and John; and nieces, nephews, and friends. The family wishes to extend a 'Thank you' to the staff at Manor Care (Briaridge) and Vitas Hospice for their special care. SERVICES Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Monday˜October 3, 2005 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday˜October 4, 2005 at the funeral home. Interment will follow with a graveside service at 3:00 p.m. at Lockhart City Cemetery (Lockhart, Texas).
