Screenwriter. He is best known for his script contributions for numerous horror pictures of the 1970s. They include the 1971 film adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's "Murders in the Rue Morgue", "Blood from the Mummy's Tomb" (1971) and "To the Devil a Daughter" (1976). He was born in London and attended St Martin's School of Art before beginning his career during the 1960s in the film industry as an assistant editor. His other motion picture credits include "Scream and Scream Again" (1970), "Cry of the Banshee" (1970), "Demons of the Mind" (1972) and "Lady Chatterley's Lover" (1981). In addition, he wrote scripts for episodes of the British television series "The Professionals". Wicking died from a heart attack at his home in France.
