His body was taken back to Missouri and buried at Corn Creek Cemetery in Phelps County, Missouri. He married Sarah Elizabeth Webber daughter of William Washington Webber & Alcy ‘Alice' Karnes she was born 17 May 1853 in Phelps County, Missouri and died 14 Jan 1926 in Phelps County, Missouri. She is buried beside David in the Corn Creek Cemetery.
David died in Commerce, Oklahoma. Ellen, his Granddaughter told me that he was there looking for work. Ellen, Granddaughter of Daivd, told me she thought he had died of a
heart attack. His sons put him on a train and bought him back to Phelps County Missouri for burial.
