Chester Haygood, 70, of Stanfield, died Sept. 1, 2005 at RTA Hospice In-patient House in Casa Grande.

The funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church of Casa Grande, with the Revs. Grady Whatley and Darryl Henry officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mr. Haygood was born Oct. 13, 1934 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Marion G. and Vera S. (Williams) Haygood. He worked for more than 55 years on the Montgomery and Keeling farms. He was a loving person and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Addie; a son, Carl Haygood of Tucson; a sister, Elnora Mims of Phoenix; a brother, Richard Haygood of Casa Grande; and seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Cora Bell Haygood, and four brothers, Frank, Joe, Alonzo and Marion Haygood Jr.
