Anthony D. "Chico" DiCicco, 87, of Wethersfield, beloved husband for 67 years of Welcome (Sasportas) DiCicco, passed away peacefully on Wednesday (September 10, 2008).


He was born and brought up in the meadows of East Hartford, son of the late Dominick and Serafina (DiGiorgio) DiCicco and had lived in the area all of his life. A successful businessman he owned and operated City Auto Radiator Company of Hartford on Columbus Blvd (Front Street) from 1945 until his retirement in 1986. Tony was a member of the East Hartford and Wethersfield Seniors and a member of the National Auto Radiators Association. He was an avid New York Yankee fan, New York Giants fan, and a fan of U.S. Women's Soccer. Tony was proud to be an American and also proud of his Italian heritage. He was a true handyman and loved bowling, reading, and gardening and he will always be remembered for his integrity, and story telling.


Besides his wife, he leaves sons, Anthony and his wife Diane DiCicco, Robert and his wife Judith DiCicco all of Wethersfield; daughters, Lorraine and her husband John Wilcox of Old Lyme, Joan and her husband George Pacheco of Raynham, MA; grandchildren, David and Brian Wilcox, Dawn and her husband Paul Bailey, Anthony, Andrew, Alex, and Nicholas DiCicco, Michael and his wife Sara DiCicco, Julie DiCicco, Kevin and Kim Pacheco and a great granddaughter, Michaela Adeline DiCicco, and many beloved nieces and nephews, especially Sara, Georgianne, Carol, BettyAnn, Dom, Judy and Sherri, and a brother-in-law Max Sasportas. He was predeceased by his daughter, Ann; his brothers, William, John and Joseph DiCicco and sisters, Mary Cialfi, Rose DePasquale and Louise Roth.


Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 9 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Boulevard, Wethersfield with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Incarnation, Wethersfield.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford.
Friends may call at the Funeral Chapel on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
