Jeanne Starnes, a longtime resident of Floresville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at 5:50 a.m. at her residence in Floresville, at the age of 62 years, 4 months, and 25 days.
She was born March 6, 1945, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Glenn and Bernice Ivesdal Eidem. She lived in Culver City, Calif., where she graduated from high school. She also graduated from Woodburg College in Los Angeles, where she was a member of the Sigma Iota Chi Sorority.
After college, Jeanne lived two years in Bangkok, Thailand, at times teaching conversational English to Thai students. Through the years, she worked in various executive secretarial positions in Cincinnati, Houston, and San Antonio.
Jeanne married Billy Ralph Starnes on April 5, 1986, in Houston and moved to Floresville that same year.
She enjoyed dancing with Billy and loved watching the horses on their farm. Often, she would also visit her maternal grandparents on their farm in North Dakota, where she loved watching all the animals, especially the horses.
Jeanne is survived by her husband of 21 years, Billy Starnes of Floresville; her parents, Glenn and Bernice Eidem of California; her mother-in-law, Ruth Smith of Floresville; two aunts; and numerous cousins.
