Funeral for Robert Salas, 78, of 9096 County Road 217, Hillsboro, will be today at 2 p.m. at Lawrence Funeral Home with the Rev. Glenn Radford officiating.
Burial will be in Penny Cemetery.
Mr. Salas died Wednesday at Lawrence County Hospital. He was a Catholic. He was born January 8, 1915, in Gonzales, Texas.
He is survived by wife, Ruby Salas; six sons, Ray Salas, Robert Salas Jr and Roy Salas, all of California, Johnny Salas of Illinois, Julian Salas of Hillsboro and Bobby Salas of Florida; four daughters, Juanita Constante of California, Dorothy Barsotti and Gloria Pahl, both of Illinois, Betty Salas Keenum of Hillsboro; two brothers, Richard Salas of Illinois and Ramaldo Salas of New York; one sister, Martine Carmona of Florida; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jody Zapalac, Roy Salas, Bobby Salas, Julian Salas, Bryan Salas and John Salas.
