Mr. McPhail was a member of St. Andrews Methodist Church and a veteran of the United States Army. He was a hard worker who enjoyed fishing and building furniture. He loved his family and friends. Mr. McPhail was preceded in death by a brother, Charles McPhail and by a granddaughter, Brooke Raymond.
Survivors include his wife, Mary McPhail of Oxford; one daughter, Charlotte McPhail of Oxford; three sons, David McPhail of Oxford, Brent McPhail and his wife, Jina of Oxford and Ben McPhail and his wife, Anne, of Water Valley, MS; two brothers, Bobby McPhail and Johnny McPhail both of Oxford; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In honor of Mr. McPhail's service to his country, the flag of the United State's Army is being flown at Waller Funeral Home.
The family has asked that memorial contributions in Mr. McPhail's memory be made to Clear Creek Baptist Church, 50 CR 313, Oxford, MS 38655.
