Frank Pekrol was born Franz Pekruhl in Poland. He served in the US Cavalry on the Mexican border during World War One and had many stories to tell. I will leave the story of his life for one of his loving daughters to tell. Although I was young when I last saw him, I recall that he always had some small gift waiting for me when I would come to visit; and he began what would become a lifetime of enjoyment for me with the gift of my first baseball mitt. An excellent cook, my Mother still attempts to reproduce his meatloaf recipe to this day!
