Professional Football Player. Craig Robert Roh was a defensive end who made a name for himself in both the National Football League (NFL) and the Canadian Football League (CFL). A standout high school player from Chaparral High School in Scottsdale, he was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Arizona for the 2008–2009 academic year. He then went to the University of Michigan where he started every game of his four-year career, graduating as co-record holder for most games started (since broken), finishing with 148 total tackles, 80 solo tackles, 26.5 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks, one interception, one pass deflection and three forced fumbles. He went undrafted in 2013 but signed on with the Carolina Panthers for two seasons as a practice squad member before moving to the Canadian Football League. He was named to the 2nd team 2012 All-Big Ten Conference and the 2014 FXFL All-Star. He started with the BC Lions of the CFL, where he played in 45 games from 2015 through 2017, then moved to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the 2018 and 2019 seasons, winning the Grey Cup with the Bombers in 2018, before landing with the Toronto Argonauts from 2020 until 2021. He received numerous awards, including the Gatorade Player of the Year, Curley Culp Award, and Scholar-Athlete Award from the College Football Hall of Fame. After football, Roh built an online defensive line coaching football business. He passed away after battling stage 4 colon cancer at the age of 33.
