Mamie married Elliott Hopper on 22 May 1904 in Ellis County, Texas. They had the following known children: Velma, Willie Elizabeth, Iva Lee, Geneva, R. C., James Willis, Stacy P. and Bessie Ruth.
Elliott preceded Mamie in death on November 11, 1922 and is buried in Moody's Chapel Cemetery, Altoona, Etowah County, Alabama.

MRS. MAMIE HOPPER
"Mrs Mamie Hopper, 70, 2607 Norris Avenue, died yesterday at 8:40 p.m. at a local hospital after a short illness.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Samuel's Chapel Church with the Rev. Willard Cole and the Rev. Walden officiating.
Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery with Collier-Butler Funeral Home directing.
Active pallbearers will be Wallace Hopper, Bill Burttram, Frank McClendon, C. D. Stanfield, Joe L. Hopper, Monroe Jacobs, Joe Keener and J. R. Payne.
The body will remain at the residence of her daughter, Mrs Dewey Jacobs, 30 Sommersworth Street, until the hour of the service.
A native of Waxahachie, Texas, Mrs Hopper had been a resident of Gadsden since 1912. She was a member of the Morton Chapel Methodist Church.
She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Dewey Jacobs and Mrs. Ivalee Roberts, both of Alabama City; Mrs Velma Stewart, East Gadsden, Mrs. Homer Holcomb, Altoona and Mrs. Jess Turner, Pampa, Texas; three sons, R. C. Hopper, Altonna, Willis Hopper, Walnut Grove and Stacy Hopper, Alabama City; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren."
