Ms. Barbara Joan McCafferty, entered into rest July 21, 2023.
Barbara was a native of Urbana, Ohio where she was a 1950 graduate of Urbana High. She enjoyed reading, traveling, listening to old country music, and was an animal lover. She was an avid Canasta Card Player, and piano player. She was proud of all of her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and her great great grandchild. She would always tell all of her grandchildren that they were her favorite.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Lincoln Lebkisher and Dolly May Werner Lebkisher; her sister in law, Betty Krugh (Raymond); and great niece, Jennifer Harrison.
Survivors include her children, Terri McCafferty, John T. McCafferty Jr.(Nadine), Robert Garl McCafferty (Ralph), and Tammie McCafferty; her "favorite" grandchildren, Jimmy McClellan (Ann Marie), Christy McClellan (Rocky), Shawn McCafferty (Andrea), Tania Taylor (Stephen), Jessica McCafferty, Andy McCafferty (Kaye Lynn), Kenny Ray Mayfield (Lindsey), Tiffany Odum (Noel), and Robert Paul "Robbie" McCafferty; 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, her sister, Beverly Lambert and children, Jonathan Mann (Ruth), Dolisa Pehl (Lee); special niece, Della Barber (Butch); nephews, Raymond T. Krugh (Nancy) andJohn Krugh (Lori); as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday, July 31, 2023 at 11:30 AM at Oak Dale Cemetery, 319 Patrick Ave, Urbana, OH 43078, with Rev. Adam McCarthy officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Keysville Nursing Home, or to the Alzheimer's Association.
