Clyde Willis, 56 years, went home to be with the Lord Sept. 20, 1996, after a long illness.

Born in Chambers County, Ala., he had been a resident of Akron for 37 years. He had been employed at the B&W Company for two years, was a self-employed painter, and a member of the Good Shepherd Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by brother, Lloyd, Mr. Willis is survived by wife, Louise of Akron; three sons, all of Alabama; parents, Clarence and Lillian Willis of Akron; brothers, Marion (Chico) and Wayne; a stepson, Chris, all of Akron; two grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11 a.m. at the Stewart & Calhoun Funeral Chapel. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Procesion will form and condolences may be sent to 551 Noah Ave.
