Mrs. Mary E. McGaughey, 80, RD 3, Apollo died Monday, June 19, 1978, at 4:30 p.m. in her residence. She was born on Feb. 26, 1898, in Avonmore, a daughter of Albert and Ella Lambing Walker. She was a member of the Boiling Springs Presbyterian Church, the Kiski Twp. American Legion Auxiliary and a past president. She had lived for 33 years at her present address. She and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 1970. Survivors include her husband, Charles A. McGaughey; a son, Harry (Bud) McGaughey, Apollo; a daughter, Mrs. Martha Hopkins, Star Route, Apollo; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Theodore (Ora) Lasher, Union City, and Mrs. Annie Hopkins, RD 3, Apollo. Friends are being received at the Bodenhorn and Shaffer Funeral Home, 310 South Second St., Apollo, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Wednesday and from 10 a.m. until time of services at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Henry Snedeker, her pastor, in charge. Burial will be in Spring Church Presbyterian Cemetery.
