Albert R. Walker of Apollo R.D. 3 died at 8:30 o'clock on Saturday morning May 25, 1946, in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Charles McGaughey. Born in Indiana County on June 8, 1872, he was a son of Isaac and Lucy (Stuchell) Walker. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Charles McGaughey of Apollo R.D. 3, Mrs. Theodore Lasher of Aliquippa, and Mrs. Tomm Hopkins of Spring Church; seven grandchildren; a brother, Roy Walker of Avonmore; and a sister, Mrs. Tirza Kridler of Apollo. Friends will be received in the King Brothers funeral home, 310 South Second street, Apollo, until 12:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. The Body will then be taken to the Spring Church Presbyterian church, where funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock in charge of Rev. C. W. Cochan. Burial will be made in the Spring Church cemetery.

This community was shocked to hear of the sudden death of Bert Walker at the home of his daughter Mrs. Charles McGaughey at Spring Church on Saturday morning. He had spent several years in the Lambing home and will be sadly missed in tins community.
