R.V. Johnston passed away May 6, 2000 in Lake City. The Live Oak native moved to Jacksonville in 1943. Mrs. Johnston was a member of the Advent Christian Church on Normandy Blvd. in Jacksonville. She was predeceased by her husband, Ray Johnston. She is survived by her son, William Claude Green and wife Jean of Middleburg; one daughter, Mildred Merrick of New Orleans, LA.; one sister, Evelyn Henderson; two brothers, H.M. Howard and Elwood Howard; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. The visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 9, 2000 with the funeral services to be at 11:00 AM in the Daniel's Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in the Live Oak Cemetery. Daniel's Funeral Home of Live Oak is in charge of all arrangements.
