Ophelia married Robert Lee Whatley August 30, 1896 in De Soto, Dallas County, Texas. They were the parents of the following known children: Walter Lee, Jessie James, Fred William, Elmer Tom, Odie Ernest, Marvin Rene, Edgar T., Mary Stella, Charlie, Effie, and Lorine R. Whatley. Two unnamed children, a daughter & son, are also buried in Rawlins Cemetery.
She was much loved by her niece Aletha Stafford Tune.
